Cluster
Tool In the members area you can create a new cluster, leave a cluster, and invite friends (users whose addresses you have in your address book) to join a cluster. If you are one of the limited number of people who has power tokens, you can also use this area to give power tokens to other members.
In the rules area you can edit the rules in the cluster. The existing rules in the cluster are listed under “subjects”. You can add a new rule, or edit or delete an existing one.
You can use the vote tool to carry out a poll. All members of the cluster in which you have initiated a vote will be contacted and can take part in the poll. To initiate a poll you need to click the “new vote” button. Then, in the dialogue box you type the question you want other players to vote on and the possible answers to that question. You can also specify how many answers a voter must, or can, give. For example, if you say you choose number of answers 5, min = 1, max = 5 this means that the voter must select at least one answer and can choose a maximum of 5, i.e. all. You cannot initiate a new vote unless you have power tokens for the cluster.
The vote must be closed before its outcome can be analysed. To do this, select the vote in the votes list and click the “close vote” button. The vote then appears in the list of closed votes. If you click on the closed vote you will see the following analysis:
The asset tool shows you transactions related to the accounts to which you have access. You always have access to your own account, and to accounts in clusters for which you hold power tokens.
In the job tool you can see what objects you are currently having built. Use “new job” to commission a new job, and “delete job” to discontinue a current one.
Use the build tool to create new objects in the world. Select the required object in the list of building options, and specify a name and description and a converter that will provide the energy for the building process. If you want to build a “converter” or a “refinery”, you do not need to select “converter”, because both of these can be built without energy. For all other objects you must specify a “converter” for which you have a key (and therefore right of access).
1.8 Refinery Tool The refinery tool is used to manage your refineries. You can manage a refinery if you have a refinery key in your inventory. The refinery tool can be used to build pipes to consumers of energy: converters and other refineries, and to measure a consumers’ energy consumption. Each pipe can be assigned
a capacity on the basis of its maximum throughput (force quotient) per
tick (unit of time). Refineries and pipes deteriorate with time and have to be repaired at regular intervals. Their current condition is shown in the “condition” fields (0 means the pipe is in total disrepair; 10 means it is fully functioning). Use the “repair” button to carry out repairs on the pipe or refinery.
